New
Light Sport Pilot Training Course Offered at Panama City Flight
School
Island
Air Express announces a new flight-training course giving
students the opportunity to start flying in less time, and
at half the cost of a regular Private Pilot License (Certificate).
 Panama
City, FL -May 20, 2009 - The FAA recently announced
a new category of pilot training certification, called the
Sport Pilot Certificate / Light Sport Aircraft (LSA).
The new Light Sport Certificate allows pilots to fly solo,
with the option to bring one additional passenger, in a light
sport aircraft in about 25 hours.
Light
Sport Aircraft are a relatively new class of simple-to-fly,
lightweight, two-seater aircraft. The Light Sport Training
Course offered by Island Air Express Flight School in Panama
City, Florida is opening doors to more people who want to
learn to fly, but may not have had the budget or the time
to get a full Private Pilot License (Certificate).
"Because
of the current economy, being able to offer a flight training
course that gets people flying in less time and for half the
cost of a regular Private Pilot's License is exciting".
Explained Mr. Jarmon of Island Air Express. These new aircraft
can fly on automobile gasoline, so they are less expensive
to fly.
 Popular
light sport airplane models include the Zodiac CH 650 LS and
the Zenith air STOL CH 750 designed by Chris Heintz.
